This area is blessed with numerous parks, open spaces and just beautiful places in nature that we must share with everyone. Check out the photos below to see what I mean.
The Pine Valley Park
is just a few miles from our home; it's an absolutely beautiful place for a hike or picnic, even a little relaxing fishing. Mike is into "geocaching" with his GPS unit and there are several caches in this park in addition to the many in the area so it's a great place to search for caches too. We had some family members come to visit and they enjoyed this beautiful place too.
Daughter Melissa, Kevin, Ilynn and Zariah had a great time.
There are great picnic shelters here.
Red Rocks Park
is a favorite. A person can see the red rocks jutting up out of the ground for miles. This is a favorite place for weddings.
There's a natural amphitheatre in the park that has been developed into an amazing venue for entertainment from around the world. In this photo, if you look closely, you can see Denver in the background. This amphitheatre was built by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) from 1936 to 1941. All work was done by hand. No heavy equipment was used in the construction.
This is the Trading Post in the park.
